Dustin Pedroia, also known as the “Laser Show,” only weighs 170 pounds (even that is a stretch), but his hitting is anything but lightweight. He owns a Rookie of the Year Award, an MVP, has been selected as an All-Star three times, and won a World Series in 2007. Laser Show led off that World Series with a moonshot off Jeff Francis of the Rockies. Later in the series in Colorado, Pedroia, a lesser known rookie at the time, recounts a story in which a security guard wouldn’t let him in the ballpark because he didn’t look like a player. Pedroia, famous for his mouth as much as his bat, said “Go ask Jeff Francis who I am.”
Pedroia switched over to Franklin batting gloves in 2010 by recommendation of his teammate Kevin Youkilis. His batting glove of choice is the Franklin CFX™ PRO you see above. On his feet, he wears a camo New Balance style made specifically for him, the Pedroia 1103 D.
