What the Pro Wears: Robinson Cano (Bat, Batting Gloves, Cleats)

Robinson Cano swings a Marucci and rocks Nike Diamond Elite.

This post has been updated here.

Robinson Cano is a Nike guy.  For batting gloves, he wore the pewter aways most recently in game 4 of the ALDS vs. the Tigers, and the white homes in the heartbreaking game 5 loss at Yankee Stadium.  Cano, despite the loss, was a monster in that series, driving in 9 runs on two home runs (including a grand slam).  Both of those pairs of Nike gloves are available online—-and we also found a “player exclusive” retail version for Cano which aren’t actually what he wears, but they do have his number 24 and are outstanding gloves.

On his feet, Cano wore a custom pair of Nike Air Max Diamond Elite Fly cleats.  The all-black with white soles are not available online, but WPW did our absolute best to replicate exactly what we saw on Cano’s feet using NIKEiD (and we looked at a TON of photos to figure this out).  Check out our Twitter account for that link, and follow us while you’re at it.  It’ll help you get  up-to-date information once the season starts.

Robinson Cano’s bat is more of a mystery.  He definitely swings Marucci.  He was swinging Marucci when he was launching balls into the drink in Arizona for the HR Derby (which MLB so kindly removed all videos of online for no apparent reason).  There was a model named after Robby called the RC24 which has been discontinued and is not available online.  So we are left without a real answer here.  What we know from the photo below is that he swings a 34/31.3, and his latest version was not two-tone like the one below, but all black.

This is Cano’s bat from 2010, a 34 inch Marucci.

Not that we were able to get you a definitive answer for Robby, but if you’re not convinced that this Marucci company knows how to make a good bat, I don’t know what more we can say besides Pujols, Harper, Utley, Reyes, Tulo, and Cano.  That’s all we need to hear.

And just to reiterate, Cano’s Marucci bat is not available as far as we know.

    1. I appreciate the comment but it’s not available at that link. The bat has been discontinued.

  1. robinson cano wears a pro hitter

  2. robbie wears nike wristbands too were can you find them

  3. Robinson Cano uses a bat made by AC bat company out of Fall River, MA. They have also made bats for David Ortiz,Miguel Tejada, and Vladimir Guerrero among others. Some have switched to other companies since this company does not pay the players to use their bats

  4. robinson cano uses ssk bats now
