The first sneaker Carmelo Anthony ever laced up in the NBA was the Air Jordan 12.
The sneaker is synonymous with Michael Jordan’s 5th NBA championship. The AJ12 features a full-length Zoom Air bag that is still being used by Nike and the Jordan Brand today. This is the first use of Zoom Air technology, forgoing Air Max for a bouncier, responsive experience. The large carbon fiber shank plate provides lightweight support under your foot.
The Jordan 12 was Anthony’s go-to sneaker for his rookie 2003-04 season, with multiple Denver Nuggets player exclusive colorways on-feet that year. Colors that Melo rocked that did release include the “French Blue” as well as the “University Blue” version dubbed as the Melo colorway.
