Kawhi Leonard
Since he was drafted 15th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs, Kawhi Leonard has come to be known as “The Claw,” with his paws almost matching Shaquille O’Neal’s in size. (Kawhi Leonard’s shoe size is 9 sizes smaller than Shaq’s, in case you’re wondering.)
Another notable attribute is Kawhi’s stone cold face. His lack of emotion has always been meme-fodder, with a picture of Kawhi emotionlessly dunking against the Brooklyn Nets providing laughs for the Internet. Whether or not he’s smiling, Kawhi Leonard is known as one of the best basketball players on Earth. His aforementioned hands, relentless motor and 7’3″ wingspan have allowed Leonard to dominate even in clutch situations. A game-ending block or steal is just a Claw swipe away.
Kawhi Leonard’s shoes haven’t often been the latest performance models, instead Kawhi has favored classic retro signature shoes, as you will see below. Kawhi is now leading the New Balance brand back on the hardwood, and it’ll be fun to see where he and NB steer the ship.
