A rare sneaker that Carmelo Anthony wore during the 2004-05 season was the Air Jordan 20 (XX).
The sneaker was designed by Tinker Hatfield after taking a five-year absence from the Air Jordan line. This sneaker features a laser-etched midfoot strap that used over 200 logos representing Michael Jordan’s life. This strap helped lock down the upper to your foot. An ankle strap snuggly helped provide proprioception awareness of roll overs even as a low-top style. The cushioning system was a switch-up from the typical Zoom Air/Air Max technology from the past. Independent Podular Suspension (IPS) uses dual density Phylon foam, with protruding circles on the outsole utilizing softer foam. This provides a bounce back for added comfort when running and landing.
Carmelo notably wore a Nuggets PE when he won the 2005 Rookie Challenge game MVP award in front of his hometown Pepsi Center Denver crowd.
You can find other colorways the Air Jordan 20 (XX) at StockX, GOAT, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
