The first sneaker Carmelo Anthony laced up after his trade to the New York Knicks was the Jordan Melo M7.
Justin Taylor was tapped to design the shoe after designing the M6. The Melo M7 utilizes heel encapsulated Air for impact protection and forefoot Zoom Air for responsiveness.
Anthony rocked the M7 throughout his “Melo-drama” in the 2010-11 season with the Denver Nuggets. He continued to wear the M7 after being traded to the Knicks in February 2011, before switching to the M7 Advanced for the playoffs. This version stripped the leather upper in favor of lightweight Flywire and Hyperfuse materials.
