NIGHTLY PRO NOTABLES: Goran Dragic Heats Up, Jimmy Butler Steals 4th Quarter – September 17, 2020

Welcome to Nightly Pro Notables: a collection of the hottest sneakers and biggest moments of the night on September 17, 2020.

We saw another close game tonight between the evenly matched Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. The edgy Heat team overcame a 17-point deficit to claw out a 106-101 win on the backs of Goran Dragic’s clutch scoring. Jimmy Butler provided the defense as well for Miami, with his timely steals seen below.

PRO PERFORMANCES

The Dragon Was on Fire

The high-point man in this epic back-and-forth game was Goran Dragic. The Dragon has quietly paced the Miami Heat with larger personalities on his squad, but was extra loud in the 4th quarter of game 2.

Goran even sunk this nasty stepback 3 over Daniel Theis:

Dragic came up clutch while wearing the adidas Dame 6 “Dame Time” in white, black and red. You can find this colorway at StockX and GOAT.

PRO HIGHLIGHTS

Jimmy Buckets or Jimmy Pilfers

A lot has been said about Jimmy Butler not needing to take the last shots to impact the game. The final minutes of game 2 tonight showed that. Mr. Buckets got two steals in the last 4 minutes of the close game, converting the turnovers into points that led to the W.

Butler balled out in a PE version of the Air Jordan 31 Low, featuring his logo with the brand. This colorway isn’t currently available, but you can find other colors at StockX, Flight Club, Stadium Goods, and GOAT.

Robinson Gets His Recognition

One of the more talked about players in the conference finals is Duncan Robinson. His “out of nowhere” story saw the undrafted sophomore in the spotlight for an amazing shooting season. The Heat big man went from division III college to hitting endless three-pointers on the biggest stage.

Robinson knocked down four trifectas in the first quarter including this super quick release where Duncan didn’t even need to gather:

Duncan Robinson rocked the “Blue Gaze” Nike KD 12 in this game, which you can find at StockX and GOAT.

Kemba Puts the Moves on Duncan

With all that Duncan Robinson praise, Kemba Walker did his best to share the spotlight with this flurry of dribble moves. This includes a behind-the-back move with a hesitation move that had Robinson dancing the other direction. Cardiac Kemba then crossed to the right before euro-stepping back to the left for a quick layup.

Kemba wore a custom Air Jordan 34 this game featuring “do not cross” tape, which isn’t currently available. Other colors can be found at StockX and DicksSportingGoods.com.

A popular colorway that Jayson Tatum has rocked in the bubble is the Air Jordan 34 “Welcome to the Zoo” PE. This colorway, like most of Tatum’s colorways, are based on his son Deuce’s love of the zoo.

This wild colorway can be found at StockX.

The GOAT’s Last Kicks of 2020

The WNBA GOAT Diana Taurasi saw her squad get eliminated in the playoffs tonight by the Minnesota Lynx, but she took the L in style. DT rocked her own PE colorway of the Nike LeBron 17, made just for her. The blue sneaker matches the flag of Argentina, the homeland of Taurasi’s mother.

This mismatched white and black tongue LeBron 17 isn’t available, but you can find other colors at StockX, GOAT, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
