After early teases from the beginning of the NBA restart, the Swoosh has officially unveiled the nuts and bolts details of the Nike LeBron 18. This includes future colorways as well as the technology featured on the latest King James sneaker.
The Tech Specs
The Beaverton sneaker company made an easy to read tech sheet which you can see below. The shoe features many of the same details as the LeBron 17 including the BattleKnit 2.0 upper for a durable, sock feel. The giant Max Air unit in the heel also returns for shock absorption. The biggest difference is the new addition of full-length Zoom Air, Nike’s quick and bouncy cushioning system.
This tech is nothing new to the LeBron line, previously being integrated in the LeBron 11. The big innovation is it’s placement; directly above the U-shaped Max Air unit. This puzzle piece fit provides the best of both worlds in responsiveness and soft heel landings.
Inspired by the famous Chinese material used to make jewelry, The LeBron 18 “Empire Jade” will drop exclusively in Greater China on September 21.
This colorful sneaker is inspired by LeBron James’ family moniker. The King usually sharpied “JamesGang” on his past sneakers to show love to his fam. This colorway will drop in Great China on September 24 and North America on October 9.
Get out your shades for this sunny colorway. The Nike LeBron 18 “Los Angeles By Day” features sand-colored BattleKnit that gives off beach vibes, while palm tree graphics on the heel finish off the LA theme. This sneaker will drop on November 6 in North America.
An homage to James’ hall of fame career, the Nike LeBron 18 “Reflections” features graphics on the heel and midsole from vintage king moments. This colorway shock dropped today on SNKRS and quickly sold out.
