The Nike KD 14 Features Return of Strap and Sportswear Vibes

The latest Kevin Durant signature sneaker brings back a favorite for the Brooklyn Nets forward, while integrating classic Nike Sportswear design details. The 14th KD model puts Kevin in elite company along with LeBron James and Michael Jordan for longest running signature lines.

The new Nike KD 14 brings back the midfoot strap that Durant has praised ever since its inclusion on the KD 2.

This lockdown feature was also prominent on the KD 7, as well as the “Aunt Pearl” KD 12 colorway that was based on the 7 strap. This KD 14 strap features a signature swoosh on the lateral side that is elongated to look like the logo on the Nike Bruin. The strap then shifts into a finger-like design on the medial side. This is a clear callout to the classic Nike Air Presto, that utilizes these fingers for the lacing system.

The engineered mesh upper further adds to the casual appeal, as this allows for any pattern to be printed on the material. Look for KD’s favorite art and music to appear in future colorways.

Tech wise, the combo of Zoom Air strobel and an additional Zoom unit in the forefoot returns from the KD 13. This gives you the maximum bounce feeling under the full foot, with more bounce when running on your forefoot.

The black and white colorway seen above drops April 10 globally and April 14 in the U.S.
