After a brief stint in 2011 going gloveless, Longoria was seen in the AL Division Series with the Nike Fuse batting gloves seen above. He was also wearing a pair of custom Nike Shox Gamer cleats that, aside from the “Shox” element being Powder Blue like the uniforms, are identical to the ones you see above.
Evan Longoria wears the glove you see above, the Wilson A2000 EL3-ST. Longoria is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner and a winner of the Fielding Bible Award in 2010–the award given to the best defensive player at each position in Major League Baseball (MLB), based on statistical analysis.
Longoria was responsible for the culmination of the most exciting night of the 2011 season. On the last day of the season, after the Cardinals overtook the Braves for the Wildcard in the NL, the Rays jumped the Sox on Longoria’s walk-off home run versus the Yankees to win the AL Wildcard, just moments after Jonathan Papelbon blew a save and lost on a walk-off by Robert Andino of the Orioles.
UPDATE (2/23/2012): Here’s a photo we scooped from Longo’s twitter feed. It looks like Longoria sent a pair of his player exclusive Nike Shox Gamer cleats to a fan. These have an exotic marble pattern on the tongue and crest of the shoe (just below the columbia blue lining) that you can’t see because of the way Longo drapes his pants over his shoes. I would call these the Cadillac of cleats—-one of my favorites:
You can find Longoria’s batting gloves and cleats at several retailers.
