After an extended layoff, the 2011 lockout concluded on the day after Christmas, Kawhi Leonard finally debuted for the San Antonio Spurs rocking some classics. As worn by Penny Hardaway, the Nike Air Max Penny 1 featured the large Air Max bubble in the heel that was so prominent in 90s Nike Basketball shoes that helped absorb impact protection. The shoe also featured the unventilated leathers and nubucks that was also synonymous with sneakers before the year 2000.
Kawhi would end up playing in the Nike Air Max Penny 1 for the following 2012-13 season as well.
You can find the Nike Air Max Penny 1 at StockX, GOAT, Flight Club, Eastbay, Foot Locker, Finish Line and Stadium Goods.
