Kobe Bryant’s third team shoe debuted for the 1999-2000 season without much fanfare from fans or from the future Black Mamba himself. Looking for a different approach from the “Feet You Wear” styles like the KB8 III (also known as EQT Responsive,) Bryant didn’t play much in this shoe before switching to something sleeker.
Elements of the adidas KB8 III would later resurface as the retro “chunky” dad shoe look was back in fashion in 2017. Kanye West adapted the sole of the EQT Responsive for his Yeezy 500 sneaker.
The adidas KB8 III is currently unavailable at retailers.
