All eyes were on the 1st overall pick in 2003, with many wanting to see LeBron’s first signature shoe after he signed a 90 million dollar deal with Nike.
James first signature shoe, the Air Zoom Generation, was designed to be the comfiest basketball shoe ever which LeBron co-signed the first time he wore the shoe. Just as the Zoom Generation was comfortable, so was James in the NBA, as he won the Rookie of the Year award in the 03-04 season.
This first model was nostalgic enough for Nike to retro the shoe starting in 2017, bringing back colorways from LeBron’s first game, as well the “Wheat” colorway (seen above) that LeBron wore for All-Star weekend.
You can find the Nike Air Zoom Generation at StockX, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
