Yesterday we posted a shot of a Carlos Gomez Instagram post showing some unknown adidas cleats. We mentioned that it was subsequently taken down by Carlos (likely by the request of adidas), so we contacted adidas Baseball to see if we could get any details on this unique style.
Mystery Cleats
Adidas came through for us today with some photos and information on this style, called the Dual Threat.
According to adidas, these are set for release on November 1, just in time for Game 5 of the World Series, and will be exclusively available at DicksSportingGoods.com.
The four colors seen will all be available, though we don’t expect to see them in Gomez’ more eccentric colorway.
It’d be nice to get a look at the instep side as well, which is what Gomez shared, but we’ll have to wait and see. With the shots we got, how do you feel about ’em?
