Social Media Recap: Brian Wilson’s Custom Jordan 12s, New Evoshield and a New Winningest Coach of All Time

Brian Wilson customized his Jordan 12 cleats for Australia.  You can see the continent itself on the left along with a Koala and Kangaroos.  Cuz, you know, that’s all there is in Australia.

Johnny Gomes politely added some Victus wood to his collection for the trip back up north.

Augie Garrido became the most successful college baseball coach of all time with tonight’s victory, the 1,894th of his career.  Garrido has won five national championships, three with Cal State Fullerton and two with the Longhorns.  Garrido passed Gordie Gillespie, a lifer who spent 59 years at the top step with Division II and III schools (Lewis, Ripon, St. Francis).  Garrido breezed past Gillespie with “only” 45 years of service.

This may just be because I look at this stuff a lot, but I think the digi-camo thing is getting a little out of control, however, even I have to admit that leg guard is nuts.  And from an unexpected place, the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Golden Norsemen.

After further exploration: Evoshield is offering this same style in a few different colors and they’ve spread them out, giving certain colorways to certain retailers.
