I’ve been working on non-content related stuff lately, so I put together a roundup of what we’ve been digging lately. Before I get to that though, two questions that could determine our future together:
If we had an app, aside from player profiles, what would the most important aspect be for you?
Thanks and back to the goods…
Washington Husky Noah Bremer (@bremdawg17) sent us a look at his OG Trouts for 2016.
Chris Barr (@cbarr_17), 1B from THE U showing off an absolute onslaught of swag, exactly four different options for the year, including custom Energy Boost Icon and Afterburner 2.0 colorways.
Corey Dickerson’s Huarache 2KFilth’s came in and they are quite crisp.
@glovesbyguasch relaced an adidas UM EQT glove that needed to be shown for novelty’s sake.
Matt Davidson, former 1st rounder and current White Sox prospect, sent through a few of his 2016 tools of the trade, including a Rawlings Heart of the Hide PRO1000, Sam Bat TT2/MMO Maple bat, and some UA Epic BG’s with his alma mater, Yucaipa HS colors. About the wood, Matt says, “Always have swung a 271. I love the tapered handle. And the M110 barrel just makes it a little longer head than a normal 271 head.” What about Sam Bat? “Their wood is the best, in my opinion.”
Leonys Martin with the cherry custom Sam Bat.
Anthony Rizzo’s Rawlings PROCMHCB2 BEAUT from @rawlingssg.
Tip of the cap to @ryanflynn16 who let us know that the most obnoxious colorway of the 2KFilth has gone on sale.
St. John’s catcher Anthony Fava (@scooby96) shot us a look at his Rawlings Pro Preferred mitt for 2016, another stunner from the Johnnies.
@aidanfreebs did these Jordan IVs up for his teammate (which is a commendable act I wouldn’t have given them back).
Brett Anderson showed off his Marucci leather, which is a far cry from the beauty he had last year, and based on the two-tone I don’t think he has intentions of wearing it in-game:
Here’s what we believe is his 2016 gamer:
A bit better.
Here’s a cool one from a long-time WPW follower/contributor… Chris Archer’s gamers for the upcoming season as they got fit for a pitching toe (liquid TuffToe) by Frank’s in the Bronx.
We’ll have a full post for LSU in the coming days, but here’s a sneak peek thanks to OF Cody Ducote. The Trout 2s are dirrrrrrrtyyy.
1st team All Big Ten shortstop @adam.walton got drafted by the O’s in 2015 but will return to fight with the Illini in 2016. He was pumped to see these Huarache Pro customs (no longer ID’able) and Nike FREE 5.0 trainers in his locker last week.
Jon Jay looks to have gotten some of the first 2KFilth “Elite” (Air Max sole) cleats, which can be built on NIKEiD.com.
Hofstra leather via @jonny_beisbol.
Seton Hall infielder Mikael-Ali Mogues (@mo.knows) looks like he went with the Teixeira model this year.
@nomad_customs is not struggling for business with his hometown Marlins. I feel like we get a new colorway for Jose Fernandez every couple of weeks.
@supremegloves has been helping 2015 #4 overall pick Dillon Tate find some Nike rarities, including this BF1589 in pink. Keep an eye out for it this year—he’s the type of guy that won’t hang around the minors for too long.
CFer Jack Meggs (@jackmeggs) from the University of Washington sent through a look at some of the leather options for the Huskies in 2016. I would classify this as simply unfair.
…A little less blurry. The H-Web is freakishly sexy.
@ZacGallen23, UNC pitcher, showing off the Trout 2 turfs. Lets hope for a few more of these, and I think we can expect a NIKEiD option eventually.
