Despite the mid-cut look, the Rev 2017 is perfect for guards like Beal. The lightweight aspect of the shoe can be attributed to the minimal cushioning, with forefoot Zoom Air and Phylon foam on the midsole. Airy mesh allows for breathability, while the herringbone traction rides up the midsole for grippy steps on the court.
Beal wore an all-black version of the Rev 2017, which never released to the public.
