A popular sneaker that Jimmy Butler rocked across seasons was the Air Jordan XX8 and XX8 SE shoes. This original XX8 features a tall shroud that makes the shoe look like a boxing boot. The XX8 SE features most of the same features, albeit without this eye-catching shroud.
The FlightPlate and unlocked Zoom Air that debuted on the XX8 went on to be featured in multiple Jordan Brand sneakers years after the initial release. This combination of technology provides a next-level bounce with a large Zoom unit placed directly under your foot, while also being closer to the floor. The AJXX8 also utilized Dynamic Fit, which had loops in place of lace holes that cinched the shoe closer to your foot.
Jimmy Buckets rocked the XX8 his first year with the Jordan Brand in 2014 while still with the Chicago Bulls. He later brought the XX8 SE back in 2018 while hooping with the Philadelphia 76ers.
