Klay Thompson and the Warriors were going for title number 3 in the 2017-18 season and ANTA finally started to put more technology on the KT 3. The plush ANTA-EVE cushioning remained, but the uppers saw a drastic shift from ‘Fuse plastic to a knit material that requires no break-in time.
As for the the Warriors, not much changed for the team – who mostly slogged their way to the postseason. With a few injuries sprinkled in as well, the team only finished with 58 wins, second to the rising Houston Rockets team that many felt would challenge Golden State for western conference supremacy. The teams met in the conference finals, and things were not looking good for Klay’s squad, who were down 3-2 on the brink of elimination. Klay has a thing for game 6s though, as he carried his team with his sharp shooting.
The Warriors would go on to win game 7 as well, while finishing off the Cavs once more to help Klay get championship number 3.
