Late 2014 was the start of something special for Kyrie, who joined the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant as a signature Nike athlete. The shoe went away from the full-length Zoom Air cushioning from the Hyperrev to a minimal Zoom-in-the-forefoot setup. Kyrie’s unique playing style when pushing off with the sides of his feet is also evident here, with the traction riding up the toe portion of the sole.
Needless to say, Kyrie rewarded Nike’s signature designation with a crazy “Double Nickel” game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Two short months later, Kyrie would set another career high, with a clutch, game-tying 3-pointer sprinkled into his 57 point game against the Spurs.
You can find the Nike Kyrie 1 at StockX, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
