Kyrie Irving debuted the Nike Kyrie 6 early in the 2019-20 season, with eyes (literally) on the shoes.
The shoe boasts a striking resemblance to Kanye West’s Nike Air Yeezy 2, with the midfoot strap placed on the same area. This strap helps increase stability for Kyrie and guards rocking the sneaker. As with previous shoes in the Kyrie line, the 6 was made for guard play. The shoe sits even lower to the ground than the Kyrie 5. This combines with the Air Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot for the perfect combination of court-feel and responsiveness. The Kyrie 6 also boasts 360 degree traction riding up the midsole, providing grip at every angle.
Personal touches include the all-seeing eye on the Hamsa Hand that Kyrie Irving has a tattoo of. This eye is repeated on colorways like the Tokyo version seen above, and appears on the outsole on each Kyrie 6.
