Paul George has a diverse list of sneakers worn on-court, many of which were iconically worn by legends like Penny Hardaway and Kobe Bryant. Some of PG’s best highlights did not happen in a signature shoe, however, as many of George’s best 2013-14 NBA moments occurred while wearing the Nike Zoom Crusader.
This budget-friendly basketball style was actually popular amongst NBA players, and was worn by James Harden before his move to adidas. With a retail price of just $110, the Crusader still packed decent technology with Zoom Air units in the heel and forefoot providing a bounce in your step. The simple neoprene upper also added lockdown fit, while still being soft enough for added comfort. Y-shaped indentations on the upper helped provide breathability as well to help sweat escape.
George had a breakout year in the Zoom Crusader, pulling off 360 dunks and making a name for himself in the NBA Playoffs in another valiant effort against LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
The Nike Zoom Crusader is currently unavailable at retailers.
