After being unhappy with his Puma contract, Vince Carter started rocking shoes from Nike, AND1, and adidas. This after the Toronto Raptor guard’s agent forced their way out of the 10-year sneaker deal. One of VC’s kicks bearing the three stripes was the adidas Bromium.
This sneaker was part of adidas’ “Feet You Wear” initiative, which featured outsoles made to mimic the shape of the human foot.
The adidas Bromium was notably worn by then high-school ballers in Tamika Catchings and Sebastian Telfair. VC’s then Toronto Raptors teammate (and cousin) Tracy McGrady was also a fan of the Bromium.
Since the shoe hasn’t been retroed in years, Vince Carter’s adidas Bromium is currently unavailable at retailers.
