After a decade of wearing Shox sneakers almost exclusively, Vince Carter changed things up on-court with the Nike Air Max Hyperdunk 2010.
This was due to the Shox pillar technology being phased out by Nike as a performance innovation. In this instance, VC chose a tried and true Air Max sneaker. The full-length Air bag on this model provides maximum impact protection no matter what part of the sole you land on. The upper features durable plastics with Flywire strands to maximize the lockdown fit. A strap around the ankle further secured the foot from too much motion. Vince often rocked the shoes without the strap though.
Vince rocked the shoe with the Orlando Magic as well has the Phoenix Suns for the 2010-11 NBA season. Carter liked the shoes enough to rock his PEs for the 2011-12 season with the Dallas Mavericks as well.
The Nike Air Max Hyperdunk 2010 is currently unavailable at retailers.
