Ben Simmons

Ben Simmons’ unique skillset has made him one of the most polarizing players in the NBA. The 6’10” Philadelphia 76er was chosen out of LSU with the 1st overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Ben would not be able to lace up his Nikes though, as a foot injury forced him to set out his first year.

Simmons would go on to hoist the 2017-18 Rookie of the Year during his redshirt season, much to the chagrin of runner-up Donovan Mitchell.

Physically, Simmons has both the height and athleticism to dominate opposing point guards. His exceptional court vision and passing ability is without question. Ben’s haters will point out his abysmal shooting numbers. The Australian-born guard rarely took 3-point shots and didn’t make one until his 3rd season.

Will the youngster prove his detractors wrong and live up to his potential? Only time will tell.
