As one of the surprise rookies from the 2017 NBA Draft, Donovan Mitchell has taken the league by storm. Mitchell entered the 2017-18 season with relative anonymity as the 13th overall pick. The bulk of the attention went to Lonzo Ball, Jayson Tatum, and Markelle Fultz, but Mitchell showed out from the start.
Spida’s combination of athleticism, shooting ability, and composure had Utah Jazz fans excited. This after franchise player Gordon Hayward departed for Boston. Mitchell’s high-flying ability saw him win the 2018 Slam Dunk competition. His Utah Jazz also advanced past the first round that season on the back of Mitchell. Don averaged 28.5 points a game in the 6-game series win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Throughout this time, Mitchell has rocked with the three stripes. This led to his own adidas signature shoe known as the D.O.N. Issue #1 in 2019. Check the rest of Donovan’s locker to see what else Mitchell has laced up, and the big moments he had in them.
