Ben Simmons Hits First 3-Pointer Ever in the Nike Zoom Rize Shoes

Ben Simmons’ early career saw major criticism for his lack of long-range shooting. For one night in 2019, the doubters had to eat crow as the Simmons’  Philadelphia 76ers took on the New York Knicks.

On this play, Simmons camped in the corner with teammate Furkan Korkmaz handing at the top of the 3-point line. The Knicks Mitchell Robinson lagged off him so much, he was in the paint. Korkmaz delivered a chest pass to Simmons, with Robinson lackadaisically tried closing out as Simmons dipped the ball and rose up for the jumper. The Philadelphia crowd breathed in hoping this would be the first trifecta in the 4th year Sixers star’s career. for context, Simmons attempted his first three just 7 months prior to this moment. The three swished through the net to the absolute elation of the Wells Fargo Center.

The sneakers Ben wore this game was the Nike Zoo Rize. This boasts a large Zoom Air unit in the forefoot for extra responsiveness when running and landing. The engineered mesh upper provides the durability needed to withstand multiple games. An external heel counter alongside the mid-cut collar minimizes roll-overs of your ankle.

Like his past sneakers, Simmons rocked player exclusive colorways for the Rize including the white and green version in this game.
