In one of his greatest career moments to date, Devin Booker came up big in notching his first triple double ever. All while taking down the Los Angeles Clippers in game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
Booker played the role of primary ballhandler this game, with Chris Paul out due to COVID safety protocols removing him for this game. The star Phoenix Suns shooting guard filled in admirably though with 11 assists on the night. Many of these dimes came off of double teams, as his mid-range game was on lock all night leading to his 40 points. Booker collected his 13th board with the Suns holding onto a 4-point lead, locking in the win and finishing off the impressive triple double.
The sneakers worn in this game was one of Devin’s favorites with the Nike Kobe 4 Protro. The original Kobe 4 was released during the Kobe Bryant’s 2008-09 season and was revolutionary for it’s low-cut design. The Kobe 4s worn by D Book are a “Protro” version, which slimmed the heel shape and increased the range of the traction. The heel Zoom Air and soft phylon foam remained in the cushioning, providing lightweight bounce when landing on the heel. The upper features synthetic leather uppers, with Flywire panels in the midfoot for added lockdown.
The purple PE Kobe 4s that D Book wore this game isn’t currently available.
You can find other colorways of the Nike Kobe 4 at StockX, GOAT, Stadium Goods, and Flight Club.
