Even the most diehard Michael Jordan fans likely would not guess that the goat once wore team Jordans in a game. Many sneakerheads drool over and camp out for the now retro, numbered Jordans. Meanwhile, anybody wearing other Jumpman branded shoes is automatically labeled as uncool. Before Michael could call it a career (for the third and final time) the Wizards guard laced up the obscurely-named Jordan Jumpman Team FBI during his final season in 2003. The shoes even took the big stage in January, when MJ rocked the Team FBI during his final on-court appearance in Chicago.
The Team FBI took design inspirations from the other shoe Michael rocked that season in the Air Jordan 18, with the sole and heel looking similar to that shoe. The FBI noticeably has a big strap in the mid-foot area to help lockdown the upper and surrounds this with leather that harkens back to the days before synthetics and knitted uppers.
Jordan Brand has yet to re-release the Jordan Jumpman Team FBI, but Michael wearing the shoe during his illustrious career gives it a place in history.
The Air Jordan Jumpman Team FBI is currently unavailable at retailers.
