Steph Curry’s most infamous sneaker was definitely the “Chef Curry” Curry 2, which was unveiled to the Internet during the 2015-16 NBA playoffs, with widespread memes created for the supposed “dad shoes”. Despite the Curry 2 Low releasing in other colorways, the “orthopedic-looking” white version caused enough of a stir that Steph didn’t rock the shoes on-court, opting to wear it when talking to the press during the NBA Finals.
The memes would continue past this sneaker roasting though, as the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals to end the season.
