Steph Curry was on-top of the world in the 2015-16 season, as Curry’s sneakers were projected to reach 1.7 million in sales by Morgan Stanley. Curry was coming off an MVP season and was already improving his numbers on his way to MVP trophy number two.
He was also embarrassing the league with wins and jukes, like this Internet-breaking crossover on Chris Paul. Of course, the wins came piling up too, with Curry showing his unwillingness to lose any close game. Exhibit A was Curry’s crazy long 3-pointer against Oklahoma City. At certain points of the historic season, Curry looked like he wasn’t even trying and the ball would fall in the hoop.
The threes came in bunches, and Steph shattered his own 3-point record, dropping 402 treys in the 2015-16 season. After unanimously winning his 2nd MVP award and finishing the regular season 73-9, it seemed nothing could go wrong for Wardell Stephen Curry.
