While the Warriors grew into the team that many NBA fans loved to hate, the anger became meteoric when Kevin Durant signed with Golden State. The same KD that blew a 3-1 lead on the Warriors in the conference finals the year prior. The same KD whose name was on the Powerpoint slides for Nike’s pitch to re-sign Curry. The shock quickly passed away, however, as Durant fit right in with the Warriors. In fact, Steph broke another 3-point record, this time in the Under Armour Curry 3.
The Curry 3 upped the support, switching from TPU under the midfoot to the stronger carbon fiber. This material extended on the medial and lateral sides of the Curry 3 as well, better locking your foot into the shoe.
Steph eventually switched into the Curry 3Zero for the playoffs but surprisingly switched into the next Curry sneaker for the 2017 Finals.
