The summer of 2012 proved to be pivotal for the Oklahoma City Thunder and James Harden. After reportedly turning down a 4-year extension from the Thunder, the team reportedly did not want to lose Harden in free agency and traded Harden to Houston. The rest was history, as Harden instantly started the 2012-13 season with a massive double-double.

Harden would play well for most of the season in the Hyperdunk 2012 Low.

The Hyperdunk 2012 went back-to-basics, utilizing improved Lunarlon from the original Hyperdunk. The shoe also is noticeable due to the exposed Flywire strands on the side, which helped lock down your foot to the uppers.

While Harden had a breakout, 25 ppg, first year with the Rockets, his team was bounced out of the first round by Oklahoma City. Still, The Beard’s star was rising, in-spite of his team and generic footwear.
