As his rookie campaign season progressed, KD started wearing the Nike Flight Skool style, made with signature branding near the upper heel. This logo would end up being the signature symbol featured on all of Durant’s future signature shoes. The Flight Skool was more of the same in terms of mid-2000s Nike Basketball sneakers with leather panels on the upper. this style swapped out the Zoom Air for a heel Max Air unit, which helps with impact protection for heel strikes.
Durant wore this style during the 2008 Rising Stars game, which saw KD score a team-high 23 points. Kevin wore this shoe for the rest of the year that saw KD win the rookie of the year award.
