Coming off a rookie of the year winning season, Kevin Durant wore more of the same at the start of the 2008-09 season with the Nike Blue Chip 1. this style was similar to his rookie shoe in the Flight Skool. The Blue Chip featured a heel Air unit for impact protection, leather/nubuck on the upper, and additional panels added on high wear areas of the upper. KD received two player-exclusive colorways of the Blue Chip, as did other up-and-comers like Deron Williams and Brandon Roy. These colorways released exclusively at Foot Locker House of Hoops locations and was a precursor to KD’s first signature shoe.
The Nike Blue Chip is currently unavailable at retailers.
