One of Trae Young’s most worn sneakers in his rookie and sophomore seasons was the adidas N3XT L3V3L.
According to adidas, this is the first purely laceless basketball sneaker made. The shoe is still functional as the three stripes used a compression-like Primeknit upper. This material helped contain the foot, while also retaining the comfort from the soft knit. The sneaker was also the first to utilize adidas’ Lightstrike cushioning. This is meant to be an improvement over venerable adidas foams in Boost and Bounce. Lightstrike aims to provide the best combination of step-in comfort and lightweight cushioning on the market.
