Another Atlanta Hawks game, another defender getting nutmegged by Trae Young.
Young had previously embarrassed the Nuggets Will Barton with the dribble move. This time around it was the Phoenix Suns Ricky Rubio’s turn. Rubio inexplicably tried to stop Young at half-court with his legs wide in a defensive stance. Young went for a long dribble between Rubio’s sneakers, with Ice Trae freezing Ricky. Young then ran up to regain his dribble before floating a shot up. Aron Baynes tried to slide over but ended up kneeing Trae on the contest. The shot drifted through the hoop for the and-1 play.
The sneakers Trae slipped on was the adidas N3XT L3V3L. This features a laceless, compression Primeknit upper that was comfortable straight out of the box. Lightstrike foam is used in the midsole for lightweight comfort on the court and off.
Young rocked a multicolor “Players Edition” version of this sneaker, which is currently unavailable.
