After a wildly successful first year, Damian Lillard was ready to step his game up to the next level. Lillard seemed to take to Derrick Rose’s team shoe as a rookie, but soon started to wear his signature models as Rose was shelved with knee injuries. For the 2013-14 season, Dame played in the adidas D Rose 4 and D Rose 4.5 exclusively. The D Rose 4 looked to provide support for guards with SpringFrame, a midfoot piece that is both rigid and low to the ground. This combined with the CrazyQuick sole provides better court-feel to help guards get a quick first step.
The D Rose 4.5 went away from the split look near the collar in place of more animal prints on a streamlined upper. The material on the upper was updated to SPRINTSKIN, which was more lightweight and breathable compared to the 4.
True to his current reputation, Damian Lillard hit a handful of game-winners in these Derrick Rose signature shoes.
