The adidas Dame 5 was unveiled in 2019 with similar features to past models, epitomizing the phrase “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
The low price point remained at a retail price of $115, with Damian often citing his want in kids being able to afford his sneaker. The specs remained the same as well, with the shoe boasting full-length Bounce cushioning, traditional herringbone on the outsole, as well as a lightweight mesh on the upper. The eye-catcher is the “banking barriers” on the lateral side of the Dame 5, which provides support during lateral movements.
The Dame 5 happened to be the shoe that Damian Lillard wore for his series-clinching buzzer beater over Paul George.
