It was Dame Time in front of Lillard’s hometown crowd, as Damian showed up clutch in a wild overtime win against the Golden State Warriors.
The odds were not in the Portland Trail Blazers’ favor, as the Dubs had ball up 109-107 in Oakland. Steph Curry had possession with just 14 seconds left, and tried to pass out of a double team. Blazer Forward Mo Harkless batted the ball away and Jusuf Nurkic secured the rock. Nurk immediately threw the ball towards Lillard, who charged at the rim while being forced out of bounds by Draymond Green. Dame avoided the turnover by throwing to whatever black jersey he can find.
Chaos ensued as Al-Farouq Aminu and and Kevin Durant reached for the rock, with the former grabbing the ball. Lillard never quit on the play and ran towards the corner closest to Aminu and received the hand-off. In one motion, Damian took the shot with Steph Curry’s outreached arm in his grill. The three-pointer hit nothing but net as the crowd erupted in shock. Lillard flexed both arms in the aftermath, with a dejected Steph Curry in the background still with his arm up.
The shoes Damian Lillard rocked for this game was the adidas Dame 5. Like past Lillard signatures, the shoe boasts full-length Bounce cushioning, as well as a lightweight mesh on the upper. The eye-catcher on the shoe is the lateral “banking barriers” on the lateral side of the Dame 5, which provides support on lateral movements.
Lillard wore the home colorway known as the “YKWTII” (you know what time it is) for this clutch shot, which you can find HERE.
You can find other colorways of the adidas Dame 5 at StockX and GOAT.
