Anthony Davis Crosses then Posterizes Frank Kaminsky in the Nike Kobe AD 2018 Shoes

The Brow ended up embarrassing Frank Kaminsky twice in one play.

Anthony Davis started this play deceptively slow, looking for a dribble handoff with Pelicans teammate Jrue Holiday. A.D. instead drove right, to the surprise of Kaminsky’s ankles. Davis soon crossed over to the left and straight to the hoop. With no other New Orleans Pelicans in the lane, Frank tried to shove Davis to stop the play. Davis powered through, throwing down a one-handed jam while primally screaming through the and-1 poster dunk. Anthony gave one more yelp after landing while flexing his arms.

The sneakers Davis was wearing in this moment was the Nike Kobe AD, which dropped in 2018. This was a departure for Anthony who typically wore bulkier, more supportive footwear. As the signature name suggests, the Kobe AD is a guard shoe, featuring a lightweight bootie construction. A bouncy Zoom Air unit is also added in the heel for responsiveness.

The red and navy blue colorway worn in this play was a Davis exclusive, but you can find other colorways of the Nike Kobe AD at StockX, Stadium Goods, and Flight Club.
