Anthony Davis’ motor and aggressive offensive can make you forget about the grace and finesse to his game. Both of these attributes were on display in a late season 2017 highlight against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The play started off casually with Jrue Holiday looking to start pick-and-roll action with A.D. The Brow slipped the pick and started rolling before Jrue passed the ball to new Pelicans teammate DeMarcus Cousins. The ball was barely in Boogie’s hands before he launched a touch pass to Davis who nonchalantly spun in mid-air, collected the ball, then spun back towards the rim for the graceful jam. It’s a shame this Boogie/A.D. combo didn’t last longer.
The kicks Anthony Davis wore for this graceful dunk was the Nike Air Max Audacity 2016. This style featured a 180-degree unit in the heel for impact protection, and a breathable mesh upper.
