The Portland Trail Blazers season opener in the 2019-20 season saw Damian Lillard put on a double highlight.
On this play, Torrey Craig played Damian close all the way down the court. A Skal Labissière screen at mid-court caught Craig off guard, setting Lillard free to drive. Dame drove left on former teammate Mason Plumlee before spinning right. The quick change of pace toppled the big man, as Plumlee fell straight on his butt. The Blazers point guard then gathered near the key and rose up alongside Jamal Murray. Dame’s vertical won out and he threw down a right-handed jam over Murray. Damian whipped his leg while on the rim before flexing for the raucous Moda Center crowd.
The sneakers Lillard wore for this dunk were the adidas Dame 6. This utilizes Lightstrike cushioning, which aims to provide the best combination of step-in comfort and lightweight cushioning on the market.
Lillard wore the “Ruthless” volt, black and red colorway, which can be found HERE.
