“No freaking way” is probably the most appropriate response to this Damian Lillard highlight.
Dame corralled a rebound prior to the moment before racing up the court. A simple right-to-left helped him get past the first Los Angeles Clipper defender, but Blake Griffin stood in his path in the paint. Damian had to reverse course and turn left on a dime to avoid colliding with Griffin. Without looking, Lillard scooped up a layup that drifted in the air for what seemed like an eternity. The ball rose well above the backboard before dropping directly through the net. While no foul was called, the Staples Center crowd showed their appreciation with a loud “oooooh”.
The sneaker Damian wore for this highlight was the adidas D Lillard 2. The jacquard woven upper was more inexpensive than Primeknit, but provided the same soften and durable attributes that Dame needed. This budget-friendly signature shoe boasted Bounce technology to provide a responsive, yet plush feel. Some version replaced Bounce with Boost to ramp up the soft cushioning.
Damian rocked the Core Black colorway for this moment, which you can find here.
