Giannis was unstoppable on this play, driving at will after a between-the-legs dribble on JaKarr Sampson. The Greek Freak gathered the ball near the rim and rose up on Sampson. Pacers Center Goga Bitadze jumped as well, with Antetokounmpo’s long arms winning out. The Milwaukee Bucks star posterized both Pacers bigs, who both looked away in embarrassment.
The Nike Zoom Freak 1 that Giannis rocked was designed with Giannis’ rangy movements in mind, with multidirectional traction being particularly aggressive at the pinky toe section. The traction extends up in this area with rubber clips, similar to the midsole on the Kyrie signature line. This was done up to aid with Antetokounmpo’s extremely long-striding euro steps, providing control when Giannis goes side to side. Further performance features include two stacked Zoom Air units in the heel for extra bounce when landing.
