Add another big man to the Giannis Antetokounmpo poster list. This time; it was the Los Angeles Clippers Ivica Zubac.
On this play, the Greek Freak set a screen for fellow Milwaukee Buck Wesley Matthews. Giannis rolled quickly and hard with Matthews dropping the easy dime. Antetokounmpo soon gathered from inside the key and rose way above the jumping Zubac. Giannis spiked the ball with a right-handed dunk over the 7-foot Bosnian, to the elation of the Fiserv Forum.
The Nike Zoom Freak 1 that Giannis rocked was designed with Giannis’ rangy movements in mind, with multidirectional traction being particularly aggressive at the pinky toe section. The traction extends up in this area with rubber clips, similar to the midsole on the Kyrie signature line. This was done up to aid with Antetokounmpo’s extremely long-striding euro steps, providing control when Giannis goes side to side. Further performance features include two stacked Zoom Air units in the heel for extra bounce when landing.
