Jayson Tatum Crosses Joel Embiid Before Banking Jumper in the Nike PG 2 Shoes

Many compare Jayson Tatum’s game to Kobe Bryant’s. This tough shot showcases both players ability to make tough shots.

On this play, Tatum saw Philadelphia 76ers Center Joel Embiid switched on him in the post. He immediately ran to the top of the three point line to take advantage of the mismatch. Jayson proceeded to put on the dribble moves on the big man, with Joel staying in front of the Celtics star throughout. Embiid may not have bit on the first seven or so moves, but a deceptively quick left-to-right gave Tatum just enough space to rise up for the foul-line jumper. Embiid extended his arm to make the fadeaway as tough as possible, all for naught. The ball skied towards the backboard, banking in.  Embiid surely called out Tatum for not calling bank, but Jayson didn’t back down with words of his own.

Jayson Tatum rocked the Nike PG 2 for this moment. This sneaker boasts “dynamic wings” near the forefoot lacing to provide snugness. A responsive Zoom Air unit was used under the forefoot, and was made larger compared to the PG 1 for extra bounce.

Tatum wore a NIKEiD custom colorway based off of a coloring book that his son would use, which is currently unavailable.

You can find other colorways of the Nike PG 2 at StockX, GOAT, Stadium Goods, and Flight Club.
