Kawhi Leonard Blocks Russell Westbrook For Clutch Playoff Win in the Air Jordan XX8 Shoes

The stage was game 6 of the 2014 Western Conference Finals. The San Antonio Spurs were looking to eliminate the Oklahoma City Thunder, but saw great resistance from the talented opposition.

The game eventually went into overtime, with the Spurs clinging to a 1-point lead with a minute left. After blowing a fast break, Russell Westbrook raced to the other end for the go-ahead bucket. Kawhi Leonard had other plans though, as he jumped high enough that the ball was near his armpit. The Klaw still reached down and snatched the ball, registering a block and rebound in a single motion. The Spurs would go on to secure the win on their way to another NBA Championship.

The sneakers Kawhi wore for this game was the Jordan XX8 SE. This shoe featured technology including a Flight Plate and Unlocked Zoom Air set up in the heel and forefoot, allowing the wearer a close feel to the responsive Zoom cushioning. The SE version stripped away the high-cut stroud to reveal a synthetic upper.

Leonard wore the “Pure Platinum” colorway that is no longer available, but you can find other colorways of the Jordan XX8 at StockX, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
