Kawhi Leonard’s deceptive quickness was on full display in a late season game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Trailing 1 point in the third, Leonard pump-faked Mo Harkless to a standstill, easily blowing past the Blazers forward. With Spurs players around the three-point line, Kawhi abruptly rose up a step into the key rising above the jumping Noah Vonleh. The Klaw somehow elevates even higher by pushing down on Vonleh, leading to a one-handed rim-shaking dunk. Later in the game, Kawhi would drive baseline and reverse dunk the ball over Jusuf Nurkic as well. Light work for the Klaw.
The footwear Kawhi wore for this game was the Air Jordan XXXI. This 31st sneaker in the line took elements from the Air Jordan 1, with heel panels mimicking the original Air Jordan sneaker. The midfoot and toe featured a soft Flyweave material that proved durable as well. Full-length Zoom Air and a FlightSpeed plate provided maximum bounce no matter where your foot lands.
Kawhi rocked a Klaw PE colorway in this moment, but you can find similar colorways of the Air Jordan XXXI at StockX, Flight Club, Stadium Goods, and GOAT.
