Closely mirroring Michael Jordan’s last shot; Kawhi Leonard laced up the Air Jordan 5 for his own clutch moment in the latter part of the 2015-16 NBA season.
With the score tied 96 all, the ball was inbounded to Leonard near mid-court with 13 seconds left on the game-clock. Much like MJ, Kawhi stared down a young Aaron Gordon as he methodically dribbled down the clock. The Klaw kept the young Magic forward honest with a left-to-right cross, before freezing Gordon on a right-to-left. The hesitation gave Kawhi just enough space to rise up and float a mid-range jumper. Swish.
Leonard rocked the Air Jordan 5 for this clutch moment. This classic shoe features the iconic visible Air unit in the heel, as well as eye catching details like a reflective tongue and unique lace lock.
The colorway Kawhi wore for this game-winner was the “White Metallic” version, which can be found here.
You can find the Air Jordan 5 at StockX, GOAT, Flight Club, and Stadium Goods.
